That is really bad form, Clay, particularly from an admin. I use the Kritzkrieg whenever the situation warrants it, and I know of several pyros who are quite effective with the flare/axe combo. You might want to think twice before you start issuing blanket insults about players who play with gear you are unwilling or incapable of using proficiently.
The unlockables were never meant to be upgrades. The benefit of unlocking them is the added versatility they provide.

Re: steam update
He was making fun of the weapons, not people who use them... The critical gun makes you a big target.

SU, I won't adapt, I don't play pyro really. It's not like I am arguing about this because "my" class got nerfed. I'm arguing about it because the BB is useless and it's all becaue of a vocal minority.
There was nothing wrong with the 50 health imo.[/quote]
I meant you would adapt to whatever they do with heavy weapons guy.
This basically sums it up for me.something is seriously wrong with the design of a weapon when people immediately stop using it because it doesn't give health bonus anymore

Re: steam update
I ended up using the backburner today on TV4 dbheights.
It was the first stage on defense. A lot of their players were advancing in such a way that I could sneak under and get behind them quite easily. The regular air blast wouldn't have done much, since that'd place me in this large open field attempting to deflect rockets the entire match, so the backburner was more appealing - I'd rather get back crits than have some blast ability I'd never end up using on this stage.
After that round, there wasn't really one situation where the air blast would have been helpful. I did, however, sneak behind the offense a couple of times and get a fair deal of behind crits. So I'd say the backburner filled the role of an alternative weapon quite well: in some situations, I'd rather use it.

I thinki will continue use of the back burner, people will still run from pyros and people will always turn their backs...the added health was incidental to me, I have always been a run in and break up the offense pyro...and still will be, i never did sit well with the wait and attack pyro...he is a maniac...i mean look at his taunt with the flamethrower...very...crazy if you will...i always pictured him to be a crazy fanatic who loves flames and things burning...his own safety is secondary
