Lets get a ville group going, luckly (or unluckly) the server seems to be filling rather well...so lets tomorrow around 7vst? get into the server...I will be there to try to help/answer any questions from new people...would love to have anyone with admin to help enforce ville rules...especially since I aim to have a non rage learning session tomorrow for those who are unfamiliar with ns2 and/or never played ns1

Special note - the server is Rookie Mode enabled, so people with less than four hours of game time are marked in green. Give those people a hand when possible!

Server was full for a good part of Wednesday night. Took me a bit to get my settings worked out so that the fps were decent and there was a bit of lag, off n' on. Had a chance to bite a few ankles as the skulk, which was fun.

Maps are pretty big, so it's going to take me some time to learn the routes and room names. Might be on around 7vst tomorrow and I'll jump in if I can.

The minimap is really good for tracking where the combat is and where your expanding
And the place names are also there to do use it from time to time

I'l try to hop in tonight but will see how it goes
Do poke if you need help in the game so we can give pointers to you new folk

Wasn't so much lag, but rubber banding. Issue should be considerably better now though - with Tekkit off that server, performance went from ~20-50% when full to 100%.

I'll be playing later tonight - anyone who wants to join, hit up TS3!

If we are going to pull this off, is there any way we could lock the server until everyone shows up, then unlock it to allow it to fill up?

I personaly like 20 player servers or 18
24 might get little crowded at times

I will admit, getting Skulk rushed like 4 games in a row definitely was not fun last night. I mean I suppose you could do the same thing as marines, but it never seemed to work out that way. I'm pretty sure if the server wasn't 24 players that might have negated some of that, but as I have little actual experience with the game I can't really say.

Very much so, if you want to talk about the game some more poke one of new guys that can tell more about the learning curve and such

Should we make thet group for this game so we can cordinate better?
