I figured this deserved its own thread considering it will probably get buried by the other one.

For some reason the devs don't have tech tree pictures so here's some that a few fans made. The Alien one is a little rough but still has the right info.

And I guess Commander general discussions. I figure I'll be put in the driver's seat every now and then and I'm wondering if anyone has any general tips for playing as the Commander.

I have a perfect record thus far as a marine commander, the main thing I would suggest first and foremost...Learn the area names!

If your a commander do tell your team what your doing
It aint that fun when you need to look for signs what the comm is doing when theres no communication in the team

Get a mic and use it

Play a few games before jumping in the comm chair or hive so you know something of the things your doing
And do go watch some NS2HD videos in youtube, he speaks alot about how things you might want to do
