So I preordered this game over a year ago and completely forgot about it lol, but it seems if you did pre-order you are getting a free copy to give away. Check your library / steam gifts.

I've been wanting the play this, but I have yet to justify buying it. Also, I am 77 days until graduating, so I am 77 days until I can spend money on things. For those that have played it, what's it like? A big part I remember from what I heard about NS1 was the ability to permanently close off passageways. Is that still in it?

It's a great teamplay game when you get some co-operation

The passage way should be in, comm can shut doors but onos should be able to break them open

i too have a freebie to give away. i've been meaning to try it but borderlands, torchlight 2, and actual work has been spoiling things.

I remember having fun playing the original. But, it always required great team-work. That's to say its not a bad thing, just getting cooperation on the internet is ... hard.

I'm interested in it as I don't currently have a team based FPS that I am playing, but I am wary of paying the $25 when I never played the original. Is there any thoughts about a ville server for this?

and god help you if you have a terrible commander, no amount of team work can save you there

That being said...I preordered this years ago, the day preorders were available...and have eagerly been awaiting launch.

I wanted to like the first one, but a lot of the players rubbed me the wrong way and made the game a not so enjoyable experience most of the time.

Maybe I'll give NS2 a shot, but who knows.
