you almost made me buy it! but then i remembered the DRM thing and how you need to go onto a website to launch the game and it like never works.....

Pretty sure the launching from Battle Log thing was beta only. They say they have moved almost all of the stuff that Battle Log did in the beta into the game including but not limited to finding servers and squad management.

It still requires Origin though, even though so far it's pretty much just like running a second copy of Steam that I just ignore unless I want to play something there.

this is actually a price increase. It was $41 a week and a half ago. Preload starts the 21st at amazon

There were rumors that EA and Steam had worked out there differences and that it might be coming to Steam. If it does, I really hope we can use our CD keys in Steam as I would prefer to have all my games in one place, but I really doubt that will happen.

The download version was cheaper because you don't have media or shipping costs. Some people want the media so they don't have to d/l such a big file.
