Here's the scoop. When you open battlefield 3 beta in origins it opens a web page in your browser. You then click on the matchmaking button and the game comes up as a little pop up window. Controls are press alt+enter to close game and click on the close game button to close game so overall pretty simple. Graphics are pretty good there's a picture of a soldier on the window and a little spiraling animated thing though there are no graphics options unfortunately (a shame as I wanted to turn up the brightness) Over all the game play is pretty slick I have closed the game at least 10 times and it was beautifully responsive and smooth.

I downloaded it last night. I'll take the early access key, let's narrow down "something".

My biggest problem was I forgot to add the game to my Nvidia whitelist, so each time the laptop started the game, the game crashed.
Derp.
Added and the game runs sweetly!

From what I see, all the game server providers are supplying the Beta servers, so no community has a server, yet.
I guess they are testing them for load issues.

Finally got into a few matches. Graphics look really good. It has marks of a good first person shooter esp the fire selector. It has all the marks of bad multi player though. Gear earned through rank making longer played players better than new comers, weapons kill you all but instantly and enemys are very hard to spot, and the browser based game menu. It also ticks me off that menus can only be accessed in game while you are alive.

I had to install the latest beta nVidia drivers since they support BF3. Kept crashing with DX11 errors before that!.
However, running everything on high right now and nice and smooth.

Keep in mind, like every battlefield game released, gear is intended to be sidegrades, not upgrades. It is also noted that all unlocks can be obtained in about 100 hours played from a casual player. There is also a spotting system in this game, you don't need to see the enemy, just someone on your team. The rest is mostly EA being jerks. With that, I have not played the game, just spectated.

I Dont see how getting a large number of accessories to buff your weapon counts as a side grade.
