So yesterday I realized there was such a thing as a marksman's headshot bonus to headshots from a long way away with a sniper rifle. I got a +195 on one. I was like OMGWTFBBQ? What kind of numbers have you gusy gotten from that? is my kill actualy that awesome or am I just average?
The biggest one I remember getting was 95.

I've gotten a +200 or something around that. Adjusting for bullet drop is fun...leading targets isn't...

Also, I enjoy the incredible sniping shotguns.

haha, yeah I like adjusting for bullet drop on the fly, its a really neat feature to the game. Leading for movement is hard as can be though :P

I try to snipe when ever I have a shotgun, that is, I shot in the direction and hope they have no health left so they die.

No, it's just something you have to have a feeling for. If they're a long way away, aim slightly over their head.

I forget how many, but I know you get platinum stars after you've gotten so many gold stars for a weapon.

So with bullet drop and sniping are you all using the big rifle that leaves a trail in the air? Because I cannot see any indicator with any other rifle.

Personally, I use the GOL and the 12x scope. IF they're a long way away, I aim just over their head, works fine. I'm no good at hitting people when they're on the move, I'm too conditioned to the practically-instant TF2 Sniper bullets :D

i use the M95 cuz its big and can take out vehicles...but the only "indicator" is a quick tracer flash that u cant see since ur normally not scoped at the time

So you definitely do have to adjust for bullet drop when sniping though? I haven't really experimented with it much.

It only comes into play over very long ranges, but yes.

I got my +195 shot with a M24 and 12x scope. I haven't unlocked the top rifles yet. Haven't played enough I guess.

M24 is a mean starting weapon, though.
