Awesome. I do have an extra Fed-Fightin' Fedora, lots of metal, some black paints, and some other items around to trade (and I'm sure I'll be unable to resist a few more nice crates, leading to more duplicates, before this is all over). The first two pages of my backpack are all stuff I currently have for trade, and I'm always in willing to acquire more/different items for that purpose.

I don't play scout hardly at all, so the Fedora isn't that appealing to me. I play mostly medic, engi, pyro and am trying (poorly) to play sniper. I have several medic things, but not much for the other 3. I have none of the new items, so any dupes there would be great. I don't mind being patient until you come across something.

On a side note, I could use some pointers on using a melee weapon as pyro. I've always run with a homewrecker/neon to help engis, and I've never been very good with melee fighting in general. I'm more a w+m1 and airblast pyro.

If you're rolling the homewrecker (highly recommended on TV8) - I'd just avoid melee in general.
If you're derping, equip the Back Scratcher until it's time to shoot.

Pyros should only melee if you're doing puff/sting with the Flame, Airblast, Axetinguish combo. There really almost no other situations where your primary isn't vastly superior to melee. When out of ammo, bust out the shotgun and go find some ammo!

Note the puff/sting method takes some practice and skill, we have several good practioners around that make it look easier than it is.

I'm a dedicated puff and sting player, and have well over 1000 hours on Pyro - I'll gladly chat with you about the technique when I'm home from this family visit (the 29th) if you're interested.

Real quickly, as Plinko says, if focusing on melee combat as a Pyro, Puff and Sting is the only reasonable option. That means using Axtinguisher and Degreaser - there isn't any reason to use anything else if Puff and Sting is your goal. The basic principles are that you should always circle strafe a target that is looking at you, and that you should be using your airblast to shoot the person in to a wall or other object that will restrict their freedom of movement, while still letting you close and sting them (in the open, you won't likely move fast enough to reach them before they're back on the ground and shooting). Puff with flame, tap airblast as needed, and whack with axtinguisher. Carry a shotgun, and use it for damaging anything outside melee range. Practice switching weapons constantly - find the set-up that works best for you to get to what you need, because all three slots will be in play, and you'll need to be able to pull out what you need in a split second, because failure is pretty nearly always death.
