yeah, i need to give you my scrap for that carpe, anyway I was able to get the scout fedora hat before this happen so im happy with that.

To be honest, we're not going back to the old system.

The "Want It" system is broken and annoying, the chances right now of paints + metal are .8%

It's going to get worse before it gets better (if it ever does). I got what I wanted, now I'm cashing out with it going downhill, I'm pleased.

Raffles, eh? They've jumped the shark. The entire point of the site, and why I liked it, was that it was convenient and no BS. Now it is inconvenient, and complete BS. Sad, but goodbye.

I'm slowly gathering strange weapons and trying my hand when I see something I like.

I have most everything I wanted so I'm just whittling my credits down.

It's not a bug, it's the format of the entire operation changing on a dime. If they change it back to how it was, then I'll come back, but if this is how it's going to be, I want no part of it.

I can't say one way or the other for certain on the new system yet, but I've decided not to try to save up points just yet if it's really as messed-up as it sounds, and instead spend what I've got on small things (only 2,060 points, so can't afford much

). I also just won the first "want-it contest" I attempted (perhaps nobody else tried for the Scottish Handshake I was trying to yet?), so I haven't yet experienced the bad side of it firsthand, but my first impression based on written explanation certainly wasn't a good one.
There were some Stranges in there I still wanted, but only a couple are realistically within a price range I'd ever be able to reach, and I expect I can find Villuns willing to trade them for a fair price once I have materials to offer in return.

I got what I went in for originally anyway.

If they shortened the "want-it" time to 60 seconds, I think this new system could work to the site's benefit. It lets people who didn't quite refresh the page fast enough have an equal chance to snag rare stuff compared to those with lightning-quick connections and F5 fingers, but it also guarantees that non-bid-upon items will go up for the original first-come-first-serve method so quickly that it will barely matter, if at all.

Been trying to get some stuff all day, but I either don't notice that the trade's come up, or the bot cancels the trade with me.

It was fun while it lasted. I got some great stuff off the site, but now I gotta figure out what to do with my 22k credits. May just hold on to it for now... maybe i'll get lucky with something.

Triddin is going to make some changes soon:

Raffle entry time reduced to 60 seconds
Limit of 20 people per raffle
Raffles only for items costing 10k or more

Still will be useful for getting the cheaper stuff and weapons you don't have, but good luck getting anything of value.

I can understand why. Bandwidth isn't cheap, and a lot of people don't have the time to constantly be on the site 24/7.

I started using it to get all the various weapons I didn't have, and assuming that Steam actually allows me to trade one of these days, that's what I'll continue to do.

Well when i was in IRC one night on their chat after that scamming was made known the admins basically said they ahd unlimited bandwidth and the server seemed to be handling the load fine so i'm not so sure that is an issue.

It basically looks like they want to make it a pain in the ass for any high demand item and they have been floating arounda premium option coming up which would probably get you a larger portion of a raffle or something. What else would someone pay for aside for maybe credits?
