Screen movies in Minecraft

Post by Snidely Whiplash » Sat May 07, 2016 7:36 pm

Hey, any suggestions on programs to capture in-game footage? I've tried Bandicam, and a couple others, but the footage freezes as soon as Minecraft is opened.

I haven't tested it with Minecraft, but Open Broadcast Software (OBS) has become my go-to for free screen-recording software. It requires some weird steps within the program itself to get it all configured properly, but it's worked for me in the past with games that Fraps and the like wouldn't capture.

Do you have a AMD video card? If so, I say give raptr recorder a try. http://raptr.com/
I've recorded quite a bit of BF4 using it and it ran smooth enough that I would forget it was running in the back ground.

Like Will T suggested above, OBS is a good one. I've used it on several occasions to get footage of my MC game (as well as anything else I try to capture).
