The new TV5 - Villetopia - Planning and Organization thread

With the release today of 1.9 TV5 will be reset and renamed to Villetopia.

The reset should happen around 9 PM Central time on the 29th, this gives us time to pre-generate land as well as to install any last minute bug fixes that Mojang releases.

Join us on Teamspeak and on TV5 to enjoy the new Minecraft World.


The following link is not live yet, but once it is you will be able to view the new map.

A huge thanks to Stevo for all his hard work on the Minecraft Servers over the years, also I would like to thank Boss Llama for finding the map seed that we will be using and I would like to thank Kaiser (Magic Moa) for suggesting the name for the server.

While mining a tunnel, Sparky and I discovered a stronghold! :D We found the end portal, and created a little cobblestone hut above it on the overworld, with a tunnel down into the portal room.

If you look on the map, it should be at about x = -1820, z = 1995

I believe the portal only came with one eye of ender in it, but that shouldn't be a problem if anyone has found a nether fortress yet!

Awesome! Great work Moonray and Sparky.

I've got two different Nether Fortresses on my nether tunnel line, so we should be able to farm some blazes pretty easily when we're ready.

As an FYI, I know there are several Nether Fortresses about, but I've got a pair of them fully hooked up and safely connected to my Nether Rail line. One of them (labeled as Nether Fortress B2) is quite close to spawn. It has a pair of Blaze spawners active, if anybody finds themselves needing blaze rods/dust. Head in, take a right at the first intersection, and go down the stairs near the end of the long hall.

Just a couple of fast updates FYI.

Inner has created a Skeleton Grinder in a Dungeon he found near his place. The portal to it is located in the tunnel that heads to his base.

Rainderp killed a wither a few days ago and created a beacon which he donated for use at spawn, thanks Rainderp :)

Well, maybe it's not that significant but with some effort I managed to herd a trio of Mooshrooms to spawn. Unlimited mushroom stew is now on the menu at the stables.

Calc is working on a chicken cooker for us, he has built it beside the portal at spawn.


Also, thanks to Inners Skelly Grinder I have stocked the spawn warehouse with arrows, yay now you dont have to let the mobs get in close for battles.

Also, before people keep on building around spawn, are we happy with the location and size of the farm? Do we want to reduce or move it to make room for other buildings closer to the logo?

Good to hear the chicken cooker is going!

I would suggest moving the farm to the west edge of Spawntown behind the hotel building to make room for expanding building space both in the center of Spawntown and to the south within the home plateau.

It's not just the current map, all previous available maps are also broken right now. 404 errors.
