In fact it's a shame nobody survived... I was hoping someone would live to fight the ender-dragon. Makes me want to run this again...

To fight the enderdragon starting from nothing on our server, set to hard difficulty, you're gonna need a lot more than than one person to survive (or else will need a looooong time to build up equipment). On easy setting, with full diamond gear, a person can solo it in 20 minutes or so. On a hard server without that gear, I wouldn't even bother to try personally - better odds just generating random ages and hoping to get a fissure. If I had to fight him, I wouldn't even try it until I was in power armor with a mag cannon.

Well diamond level armor isn't that hard to get in tekkit. You just need a pulverizer to make heavy duty armor from invar which is much easier to get then diamond. When Creeperhunter died we had almost enough ferrous to arm one of one of us with heavy duty armor and a working pulverizer to take down the ender-dragon, if he hadn't gotten snuck up on we probably could have pulled it off 30 mins later. Considering I beat the ender-dragon in my normal playthrough with just iron armor, I bet this would be enough.

Still the initial difficult was probably much higher then expected. I'd probably leave a few things at spawn if I were to do this again....
