I've received a mysterious letter in my mail from someone calling themselves "Shady Mining Co". I'll quote it here.
So what do you think guys? I don't know if we can trust these guys but what they're asking could be fun even though we can only do this with one life! Though I wonder why they messaged me this specify it's like they know I started the great pigmen war or something.Greetings Miner!
Here at Shady Mining Co, we're dedicated to offering a wide range of products to customers throughout the minecraft world! Recently we've learned of a rare new element know as Quartz, this element is in demand due it's use in solar panels, compactors and decoration. Using our currently resources we've been unable to keep up with the MASSIVE demand of this new element. Our recent mines of the element are drying up and we wish to establish a NEW mining facility near your area.
We're well aware that you wish you keep sovereignty of your area but the land we're interested in is outside in an area known as the "pigmen lands". We've recently heard of your.... disputes with the population and wish to strike a deal. Shady Mining co. cannot legally claim this area however if someone were to acquire this land, we would be able to purchase it. So we would like you to establish a base of operations and sell it to us. We would request you refrain from using diamond armor and other enchanted weapons/armor as it may cause a full scale war which may cause bad PR for us.
Also while the core objective is to establish a mining base of operations, complete with a food source and storage, there will be a number of side objectives we will give for you which will may award bonuses. Including, killing a nearby wither to ensure security (we will provide 2 wither skulls for this), finding a nearby nether fortress, creating a rail leading to your main location and... "negotiating" with the locals and "moving" them from the area. We will update these after you give us a message of interest.
There is one small catch in this, all items you acquire and bring will be forfeit if you meet an untimely end. Your next of kin (your respawn) will be unable to reclaim your items or resume your work, this is for legal reasons within the company. For this reason we would ask to not bring any items that you fear losing to this operation. Your reward will come in a share in the Quartz mined in the area which will be added to your community chest!
We ask that you discuss this with your fellow miners if there is an interest and to negotiate any further terms. Also note that the primary objective should only take a half-an hour to complete and that miners with low amounts of time may leave if they wish.
