TheVille now has a Tekkit server (a Minecraft mod)
Address: 8.6.3.25
To play, you need the Tekkit client (you cannot join from ordinary Minecraft)
Go here and download the Technic Launcher, let it update your machine with the mod and then you can join the server.
Awesome Dog! I've never played with Tekkit before so it looks like I have some reading to do, this looks really complicated compared to vanilla Minecrat.
So... is there a page in there that includes crafting recipes, similar to to this one for normal MC?
Starting on the main page, I was lost within minutes in an endless barrage of material about electrical conversion units and such. I'd love to hop in and look around, but without even a clue as to what kinds of items can be built, it seems a bit wierd. I can figure out what they do on my own, but something saying what exists would be helpful.

I think, right now, it starts out like a regular minecraft server. We need to build up a starting area but keep an eye out for dark trees with light leaves. Those are rubber trees and we need to tap them to make rubber, which is used in electric wiring, which is where things start to go a little off the rails.

I've been playing it single player for a while and the only way I stayed sane was treating it similarly to what Last of the Finest did. Play it like normal minecraft and when you encounter something new in the game, look it up on the wiki and/or make it a goal in game.
For example, I found copper ore in game and from that I decided to make bronze tools. I then did research on that on the wiki; just from doing that I got a good grasp on some different themes gamewise.
Focus on a few new things right away and ignore the rest. Rinse and repeat!

Hey this is pretty cool. I'm not sure when I'd be able to find the time to start my own build there but it's nice that the opportunity is there to do so now.
Thanks Dog!

From my time of playing it, you don't really have to mess with the intricate stuff at the start. I suggest finding a Getting Started guide for a branch, then going from there. It looks really hard, but it's not unless you make it.
