Re: Capitol Progress Report
Thanks
I submitted it to Machinima, which is holding a contest this week for "top 5 famous buildings," so hopefully it'll do well and get some exposure
Looking at the winners of the previous contest, and the sorts of examples they offered, they all look like they're made through mods and commands to give infinite materials and invincibility, with no mobs. Hopefully there are bonus points for doing it "legit."
Still up for a video whenever destruction day hits. Hard to schedule such things when the 1.8 release date is so up in the air.

Re: Capitol Progress Report
I still offer to do some filming for destruction day footage if other filmers aren't around at the time.
Yeah, quite, but it's also exciting knowing that its near at least. Last time, it was a considerable amount of time after 1.3 came out that it was decided that a reset was needed. Because i remember when people had to go quite a ways looking for birch trees.

Re: Capitol Progress Report
Submitting it to the Minecraft subreddit on reddit might be another avenue for exposure; I mean this is pretty amazing. Add in the fact that its handcrafted and its simply staggering.

I'm not a redditer, nor do I have an account there. I suppose I should look in to that.

Thanks, Plas! Nifty to see that, and a good reminder how slow and deliberate some parts of the process are!

Yeah, that is pretty nifty.
I have all the clips of burning it down. I'll get that edited first since that has the longest film time. Others i will post in a compilation.
