I needs halp

ok heres the deal, i got a message from vac that said that the account had 2 ips connected to it, and that i had to give them my username and password, so i gave it to them, then they said that it would be ready momentarily.
well, its been 3 hours, and i cant log into my account, it says that its a wrong password, or that my account is deleted, but im positive that its my own password
please respond i could really use some help
EDIT
ive just figured out that someone hacked my account!!!
their name is hot sauce, can someone please report them to steam? i really am kind of helpless to do anything right now

goto the steam site and report your account hijacked.
And for future reference: never tell anyone your account info over steam friends chat.

some one told me about that and also valve put a memo ......dont give ur username and pasword cos somebody s been hacking the accounts

There will never be a situation that requires you to give your user name and password out. In fact, there's a link that says not to do so on every chat window.
Do what Clay said. Here's a link for more info on how to recover your account:

Do so quickly or the person might use hacks and get your account VAC banned, and I'm not sure if they will reverse it.

its unlucky but as steveo has said you shouldn't have to give out details such as usernames and passwords if steam need to sort something out with your account they will not need your password

No offense, but why can't people read what is on the top of the steam chat message? Steam will never ask for your username or password and to not give it out.
People still fall for that trick to.

Ok I applied to get my account back, right?
So I send all my stuff, and i get an email saying that they will let one of the Steam Support staff know.
Its 11.06 in the morning and still no email
Does anybody know why that might be?

It took B a couple of days to get his back after it got hacked.

Yeah, give it a few days, if you don't hear back in a week's time, try again.
