Python and EventScripts

Post by Dog » Mon Oct 22, 2007 10:40 am

Many of the .scripts I've been working on for the past few months is a language called Event.scripts 1.5 which is pretty strange as a programming language but allows you to access the Source engine easily (even to the point of crashing the server  )

Good news for anyone who knows Python. ES2 has now been released as a Python based language which should make it much easier to program. So to all you budding programmers, have a look at ES2 and give it a go!

(Also means that Doggy has to rewrite all his .scripts if they are to run on ES2!)

Interesting... I've never worked with Python before. I would be interested in making some .scripts, but I have no idea what I would make... :?

Dog - let me know if you're going to rewrite your .scripts for ES2 and want some help. I don't know Python yet, but this would be an excuse to learn it. :D
