If she wants to do any gaming, it sure is :-D That would still be functional as an email/word processing box, but sadly the Core 2 chips (which truly were excellent) and a half gig GPU are no longer going to support anything more that is recent. It's more powerful than the phone I'm posting from, but not by much!

Does this mean we get to help spec and build a new system? I love doing that! :-D

5450's weren't known for their power, even when they were new.
"No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever. There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom. Against that power tyrants and dictators cannot stand." - The prophet G'Kar

The reality is the computer in it's current format does everything she wants it to. She's ten and primarily watches videos or plays minecraft. It does both just fine. I ran the bench to compare it to my son's computer more than anything else. I wasn't expecting much but the result still surprised me.
