Logitech G5 mouse

I have owned many Logitech mice. I have been a fan for many years...until now.

LOGITECH G5 MOUSE IS BIGGEST HUNK OF SH*T EVER!

I have been fiddling with this total piece of crap for months now. It arbitrarily changes sensitivity during games. The MOUSE4 button only works half of the time (when it "forgets" it's bound, I have to exit the game and rejoin then *PRESTO* it works again). I'm having these problems on all the games I'm playing. When I have tried to update the firmware, it tells me that I don't have a G5 mouse. No sh*t. I have an electronic turd which is going to die a painful death.

When I get some more $ for gaming, I'm buying a Razer or something else. This craptastic irritant is going to taste some 7.62x39 mm the next time the wVb has a sunday gunday. I refuse to pass this kind of frustration and poor workmanship to anyone else.

Good job, Logitech. You just lost a loyal customer for life.

ow ow ow....hold on a minute...i have a g5 and it's working wonderfully...just got it the other day, to be precise, the day before we played flash in the cup...I don't have any problems with it whatsoever. Do you have the 1 button on the side or the 2 button on the side?? I think you just got a dud...can you go exchange it??

I have the "new and improved" 2 button model. I doubt I can exchange it since I purchased it a couple of months ago. I'd rather shoot it anyway.

get a razer deathadder ..what other gear u usin?i use razer keyboard and headphones and icemat mousepad .cant say it enuff ,i luv my icemat !!

getting rid of something that caused so much frustration in that way would be satisfying...however, i'm gonna stick with "you got a dud"

i had to go look it up, since I had no idea what an Icemat looks like...sounds cool.
I have a huge, large, oversized, supersized mousepad...got it at compusa, don't remember how much it was but it is 18" x 14". I love it!! My problem with mousepads and why I never used it was it's small size. I needed the space and I just love this one....now I just wished I had this before I damaged my desk surface so badly

I took Shuya's advice and got the Razer Copperhead and its soooo smooth and fully adjustable - on the fly. I have settings for auto/rifle. All I do is hit the little button on the side and viola, my sensitivity is set for a BAR. Hit it again and it goes back to rifle settings (or how ever you want it) The only it took some getting used to is the actual shape of the thing. There's rails going down the side that feel "sharp" compared to the flat walls of my last mouse. But ya, its feels like butter on their teflon mouse pad too.

That's what I had before the G5. I loved it too. Now it's my work mouse. Might have to take it back home.

I got the G5 when it first came out, it put a $80 hole in my wallet and the whole problem of only a back button bugged me for a while but I have had no problems with it what so ever. I love my good ol' G5 and wouldn't give it up, haven't tried any of the razer products though.

Hmm currently using a Logitech media mouse at school (the one i normally kill you with)
