Got a new toy

I ordered it a while back and pretty much forgot about it. Today it showed up. I am happy.

I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do with it, though building a super-miniature computer concealed in an every day object is high on the list for when I have the money to afford it. Anybody else got one of these yet? If so, what use have you put it to?

That'd be to do. Making a real notebook into a notebook computer.

I also have a new toy, not as cool as yours though.
I'm now in the "cool" kids club with the LG Thrill 3d smart phone.
Even though all phones are smarter than I.

Create a microphone adapter that takes mic input and outputs it mixed with randomly timed farts. Install on skype users machine.

I know it may not have the most computing power but if its just sitting around doing nothing then make a contribution to folding@home.

@MiLite: I got a Droid 4 not too long ago. I was trying to stay away from the smart phones but the standard phone selection is just ugly these days. You'll like everything about it but the cost of the data plan! :P

@checkm8.
Yeah I have it set to where it will only send and receive data, when I am connected to WIFI.

Oh man. That is cool. I was thinking of picking one up and putting FreeBSD on it. For what I cannot remem... Ah yes....basically a thin client running a cookbook app and a touch screen in the kitchen. I was also thinking it would be interesting to use it as a controller for some aquarium equipment.

I definitely like the idea of running a small touchscreen Irked - I remember I was looking at a 9 inch touchscreen a bit back as an option for something like this, though I hadn't settled on what it would be for. The board is smaller than my smartphone (a version 1 Droid), though slightly thicker, so the options for concealment are quite significant. As another option, I already have a book safe - I'm fairly tempted to rig it up inside that (which is about 10 times larger than needed), and hide it on a bookshelf near my television, with some wireless peripherals. I got rid of Netflix since their streaming selection is such rubbish, so wouldn't need the power of a big GPU for my TV anymore.
