Over the last few days, I have not been receiving Email notices for topics I have subscribed/posted in.
Is this an isolated issue or has anyone else had this happen?

I have not been getting them for over a month now. Nor am I getting admin notifications from the source ban database.
I was curious to why this is happening as well.

Re: Email notifications
If you simply consider making all your posts OFFICIAL DECLARATIONS that require no response then you will never need to worry about this email feature again.<eVa>mlite wrote:Over the last few days, I have not been receiving Email notices for topics I have subscribed/posted in.

Re: Email notifications
I just noticed this in the past few days as well. Not getting notified on topics or for PMs like I always have.

That's weird because now that you mention it, I haven't been getting them lately either. I knew something's been odd.

Wrong attitude. Assume all knowledge flows from you now. Expect your ETERNAL WILL to be done by the unfortunate email enabled masses. Hail! All glory to mlite! Problem solved!<eVa>mlite wrote:True but some things I like to stay informed of.The Spanish Inquisition wrote:

Re: Email notifications
I'm not subscribed to too much, but I got one two days ago. Still.
Overall, it seems like the boards have been pretty sluggish as of late. I've noticed the Steam boxes aren't showing for anyone, slow load times when posting, the Valve news RSS feed seems broken, Teamspeak isn't displaying, and it sounds like people are having issues with reserve slots via the boards. I'm seeing these issues on both IE8 and Google Chrome.
I don't know, but I think if someone can, it may be a good idea to take a look through the forum code and see if something snagged recently.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Re: Email notifications
If the RSS and Steam boxes are broken, it's usually because Valve has something has something going on and they can't be accessed.
And the forums work perfectly for me.
I'll check out the email system.

That wouldn't explain teamspeak, but following the logic, am I to believe TS is also borked?Dog wrote:If the RSS and Steam boxes are broken, it's usually because Valve has something has something going on and they can't be accessed.

Also, it may or may not be related, but i'm also having problems modifying my signature. Only replacing text (not touching either banner) i'm getting the error back that "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image" despite the images not being changed in any way from what you see below at present.

Re: Email notifications
I know TS breaks every once in a while so this is normal to me. As for the steam boxes it's usually a issue with steam.
Re: Email notifications
Usually unsubscribing/resubscribing to thread/forum fixes the e-mail notifications for me, although them breaking seems to be at random.

TS isn't running at all due to a DNS problem. I made a thread about it in the ops forum...Dog wrote:TS has been working fine for a while.
I haven't noticed any issues.
