Issue with firefox 5.0.1

Post by Clay Pigeon » Wed Jul 20, 2011 11:59 am

I just upgraded to firefox five, and now the little boxes dog made in the forums showing people's steam status are no longer showing up. Or rather they are there, but blank.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Mine show up blank as well here at work with FF3. Just shows an outline with the text ID Pack and Add. I just assumed Steam was being wonky.

Same thing in Safari so I'd say it has gotta be a Steam issue.

Just wait 2 more months and I'm sure Firefox 6 will fix it. If it doesn't, you can just wait another 3 for Firefox 7.

I lost some of my addons, and I'm considering downgrading...

I stopped using Firefox around the first release of version 3 when it went the way of every "best web browser out there": it got bloated and slow, relying solely on its existing fame to remain popular while abandoning any semblance of competent function in favor of acting sluggish and crashing every other minute.

Google Chrome is where the real action's at now. ;)

(In all seriousness, all I've ever seen newer versions of Firefox do is crash and refuse to load webpages. No idea why it went so bad, but ever since version 3 I've been unable to use it for anything whatsoever.)

You need to start rocking Chrome, Clay.

I would consider switching to chrome only if I could find replacements for all my extensions.

Same. I use a lovely little program called Roboform that does not integrate with chrome as far as I know yet.
