The long and the short of it is that now, instead of lying flat side by side, the transistors can be stood on edge, and are made with a 22nm die to boot. Results are a huge increases in performance and power efficiency. They've already got some of them made, and plan to be producing them in full volume by the end of the year. Nifty.
