Lost games on STEAM... What do I do to get them back!?

Hey guys, my laptop crashed or something and lost a bunch of stuff... including
my STEAM games...

...Just need a few suggestions on what to do.

Get a new comp...
Download steam again....
Download your games again..

The only thing is I dont want to pay again.

Would I be able to contact STEAM and let them know?

As long as you don't share your account with someone else (*ahem*), Valve's record of your games will still be there!

So once you get set up with your better machine, install Steam and it'll start downloading the games again.

Ya, I think steam will recognize that there are games paid for, but not on your PC and itll DL them automatically when you log on to your steam account (the one that you purchased the games with)


For instance, you can go to a friends house, download Steam, log into your account and DL the game to your friends PC without paying for it =)... The games are registerd to your account, not your machine.

If you create a new account you'll have to pay for all the games again

yeah... if you baught them then they should be able to be re-downloaded right from steam if you sign in with your account.
