If I were you, If you can swing it, I'd go for a 8600 so you can enjoy Crysis in directx 10.

meh dont bother with an 8xxx series with anything lesser than an 8600gts. You may as well get a 79xx instead (better price/performance ratio).

PS: direct x 10 isnt all that great, because you need VISTAids for it to work.

I guess your right. Although if you are going to stick to a DX9 card, I'd get a X1950XT, Better than a 7950, and about the same price.
