not really... i mean... thats the whole point of "copy protection"

and an Ipod is not JUST itunes compatible... I can sync with wmp as well. Unless you were saying itunes only works with ipods... then that I have no case because I only have/need an ipod.
lmao, no its not.

So you can "Copy to a CD" then rip right back to a MP3 and thats copy protection in your opinion. LOL. Works great then.

Oh?

When I plug in my iPod, Windows Media sometimes picks it up and I can add & delete files. Unless my Windows Media is retarded I can definitely do this.

My new player comes with software to convert files, but it doesn't accept a lot of stuff and is pretty lame. Any suggestions on a program?

Yes don't use the software...

If it plugs to a USB port just transfer files from My Computer. That's what I was doing with the SanDisk Sansa player I had.

:roll:x1000 No. The idea of copy protected files is to not allow you to copy them. But itunes allows you to burn mp3 CDs so there you can use that hole in the system.
then they changed something with Ipods. You use to only be able to sync them with itunes. But for legal downloaded music you can't go to napster you can only use itunes correct? I know I can't use my purchased itunes tracks on my wma player unless I rip them to cd then rip them to wma or mp3 and put on my player, which is freaking nuts to have to do.
Just import any mp3, wav, mp4, aac, or mpeg, mov, asf into Itunes library and it should sync.

programs like kazaa piolet limewire etc arent legal. But Rhapsody, Itunes, windows one i cant name and many others are legal... but itunes is the most popular and has the most selections.

Those programs are 100% legal.

It's what you download through them that is illegal.

So what? That's the way it is. I'm not even spinning anything lol. The file is "PROTECTED"... just set itunes to burn MP3CD in the prefs and then copy it back from the burnt cd... Its really NOT that biguvadeal.

Gen.Ben, thats what I meant, of course.
