Frag's Computar Build: Final
It's the pre wedding gift. It's not the overspent and overdone box. Half was purchased through New Egg and the half was bought at Fry's. Bought at Fry's were the mobo, memory, power supply
Case: Stayed with the Antec Sonata II case. I got a cheaper Cooler Master case being handed down to Mrs. Frag.
Vid Card: EVGA 8800 GT
Proc: E8400 Wolfdale 3.0 (Price wise the bump to the E8500 for an extra $90 isn't worth it. Especially how the 8400 can OC.)
MoBo: Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R
Memory: Corsair TWIN2048 6400C4, the old relaible from 2004. Got it cheap. I was going the Dominator series direction but read a few things that didn't make it seem worth it. This one is the Cas 4, 2.1v version. I'm running XP for the near future.
PS: Antec Truepower Trio 550W TP3-550. I could've gotten a higher wattage rated PS. It wasn't necessary and saved some money for other bills. It'll work fine since there's no SLI going on.
Monitor: Acer AL2016WBbd Black 20" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor
Other stuff: Zalman 775 fan, Samsung lightscribe burner, Plantronics headphones (the six year old Radio Shack's are being retired.) and the Arctic Silver Thermal Grease.
Hard Drives: No Change. 2 PATA and 2 External USB.

The 8400's should be more available with the release of the 8500. I probably got lucky that they were restocked on Tuesday. They just happened to be in stock on New Egg when I looked.

I know they are easier to get now, its Q2 and Intel has released a lot more. I just am short of funds at the current moment.
I haven't gone bowling since the bash. I'm overdue.
I'm still licking my wounds from our match play event. Time to get Mrs. Frag's game going perhaps?
Nationals will be in LV next year. Already booked for mid-April.

Re: Frag's Computar Build: Final
I heard USBC's are going to be at Cashman Center. That's a major disappointment. The computer is running sweet. I did a small oc from 3.0 to 3.2 and raising the FSB to 1600. The biggest improvement was NOT having the external HD's loading on boot. It did slow the computer down some. It also won't let you OC at all either. TF2 was silky smooth at at all max settings.
