MS Vista: Be afraid, be very afraid. Some people swear by it, some swear at it.

Just built a simple system for a family member using a Thermaltake Soprano. Very impressed with the workmanship and detail of that case.

I've had good success with Thermaltake, Antec, Enermax PS's. Tried some OC'ing with something less and had instant lock-up issues with brand X being unable to deliver the goods. Today's systems are much more sensitive to PS issues than ever before.

Helluva system you got planned there. You should be pounding the wattage everywhere you go for a while. Got my wish list coming together as well, but had to put it on hold when I sobered up and saw the price tag.

As someone mentioned earlier...

They said get the water cooling and the E6600 and OC it instead of the E6700 with fan cooling.

Unless you really know what your doing, dont water cool it. And DONT get a tech to install the watercooling... If you dont know how to install the water cooling yourself... Just get the E6700 with fan cooling.

Also, I would think you should really reconsider getting Vista, Your machine will run games alot better without it. Windows XP with a transformation pack is so much better.

I have an XP disk, so if Vista doesn't work out I'll install XP.

Well I got my new system up and running. I actually ordered it last Monday and got it on Tuesday with just the regular shipping. That's probably the fastest I've ever had something shipped. I didn't get around to building it until yesterday.

So far everything is working perfectly except for an extra case fan that won't turn on. The case is huge so everything fit with ease. I tried DoD:S with the highest settings and it looks amazing compared to the settings I used on my old computer. So far, I haven't had any problems using Vista other than a file disappearing...

Anyway, thanks for the advice.
