Mini SD memory card

HEy hey hey

I bought this mini sd card for a cell phone and when i plug it into the USB port it shows up in my computer as removable E: drive and when i click on it it says its not formatted and asks if i want to format it now so i click yes and its says the card can not be formatted and i was wondering if there was something i can do to get it working. Any help at all would be much appreciated and im gonna keep messing around with it to see if i can make it work

well if ur using it for ur cellphone, then format it using ur cell phone, as it will add all the right folders and such.

its a LG 8100 from telus.....what ever happened to making things simple?

OK.....
connect it to your PC via the USB connection.

You should get another drive in My Computer.....
Format that....

There should be an option to format the card on the cell phone settings.

ive done both. and using the cell phone it formatted but i still get the same message when i try to open the drive on my computer or try to put anything on the drive aka Music files

make sure it isnt write protected

I got it to work! it was the USB connector that was defective so it wasn't reading it. I also want to thank everyone for the help you guys are awesome!!!!
