Firefox problem

Post by mujo » Wed May 23, 2007 3:49 pm

hey guys, I have a problem. I was using firefox, like i usually do. I am having issues with my modem, so I was on www.rr.com (road runner, my ISP) trying to troubleshoot it. I was downloading this "one-click-fix" which is basically a plug-in to run a diagnostic on my modem. The plug in install failed, and I have been unable to start up Firefox since. I get this error:

Firefox.exe

firefox.exe has encountered a probelm and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

and then the "send error' report thing.

I have reinstalled firefox and am still having the same problem, also tried rebooting. Thanks for any help everyone :(

Have you tried restoring to an earlier time? Try your latest restore point.

Ha, IE doesn't stand a chance against firefox. THe only reason IE was updated was due to firefox's awesomeness.

To fix it? I went in and deleted the FireFox registry, and cleaned it out. Made sure that it was all clear in program files...the "Add/remove" program didn't do an efficient enough job.

IF anyone here uses Road Runner from Time Warner...don't ever try using their "one click fixes," they're a joke.
