my computer has a virus already...
Ok so i found these 2 processes in task manager: pp10.exe, and ld12.exe. a quick google search says they are indeed viruses, and i need someway to get rid of them. Any suggestions?

I was actually trying to install drivers when i noticed it, because it said i had to restart, and it was trying to stop those 2 programs.
Right now im in safe mode and running 2 virus scans. 1 with MBAM, and one with eset nod32

What os did you install? Was is xp sp1? If so, updating it to sp3 is a race against the clock to see if you can do it before it gets infected by worms.

There's a program called Dr. Web CureIt! which is designed to run in safe mode (which many won't do), among other things. They have a free version available, which I use to lock down my system and enable my big guns (Kaspersky) to do their thing.
