If you buy the retail version, does it have a CD key or whatever that can be registered with Steam? I hate having to keep track of game CDs; last time I wanted to play WC3 I couldn't find my CDs anywhere so I had to download it.

Retail version is essentially just a CD key, but it does have a CD for easy install. I know this, because I actually bought the game retail and still have the box somewhere around my place. :)

I bought Dark Messiah Might and Magic retail and when I installed it, I entered the key and it kept it on Steam for me....long after I lost the disks...

Yeah, Amazon marketplace has some decent prices for new copies of the Ship.

There's also some cheap copies on eBay.

I also bought the retail disc, entered the CD key and promptly lost it, but all is good :D

ships are pretty expensive to build. if you are talking about "THE SHIP" you might be forkin' over a hefty sack of potatoes for it. :D
