It's one-way.

One map that i have always enjoyed but rarely play anymore is CTF_Royal, its the house of cards one if anyone is familiar with it. Some ppl dislike it but i have always loved it. Great interesting map. Maybe try it on the custom server and see what ppl think

This reminds me that we should try the modified version of Turbine.

Just an FYI, TF2maps is finishing up another contest, the (A)Symmetrical CP Contest.

Some of the better-looking maps (in my opinion):

CP_Zig (by Rexy) - Asymmetrical
Remember PL_Zig? Well, this is the sequel. Unlike its predecessor, this one lacks obnoxious textures and lighting.

CP_Powderhorn (by honeymustard) - Asymmetrical
From the creator of CP_Blazewalk comes this beauty. It's a 2-CP A/D map (like Gorge).

I'd try both of those, Steveio.

The new version of Zig is pretty different, at least it's gotten a full texture makeover.

I thought we were going to try the newer version of CP_waste? We were on pl_waste_v2 when I joined tonight?

The contest is over, and now the TF2Maps community is voting on who wins. But now we can download all of the contestants' maps in one easy z7 file.

I've downloaded it, can we give some of these a go some night? The new zig looks really nice.

If we do test these maps, I vote we skip Ship, Frozen Assets and Pilolukpass. On TF2maps.net, these three have consistently been getting very low scores in the voting thread.

It doesn't help that the first two are so hilariously poorly built and textured that they make Orange X look like a work of art.

THREE POST COMBO

CP_Upland by IrishTaxiDriver and honeymustard.

It's a Steel-inspired map, in that it's an Attack/Defend map with five points, and the final point is the only one that matters to win (and is available the entire match). The map itself is smaller than Steel, and to prevent people from getting confused, the currently active CP is outlined in red, similar to the Payload and Intelligence in other modes.

Like Steel, Point E is on a platform over a deathpit. However, the point is on a raised platform only accessible by explosive jumps and possibly a Scout's triple or quad jump. For each other point BLU captures, E's platform is lowered slightly, allowing more classes to reach it. Upon capturing point D, bridges to E's platform extend and the point itself is accessible to everyone.

I'd definitely be willing to test that out.
