I'm not 100% sure based on the version number in that download, but I'm fairly confident that the last stage uses alpha textures on it. I've always been leery on using alphas, especially on a rotation. However, I'm sure if the map itself was good enough even with those it's a possibility.

Would have to check it out to make sure though.

From what I saw when I ran through it, Nightfall b1 has no dev textures left on it (or very few that I didn't see).

Well, it looks like Coldfront is now official, so we can knock that off the list of potential custom maps.

Hey guys, so I made a new map recently for TF2 and really would like some people to play through it to give me game-play related feedback.

http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=14199

The details of what feedback I would like to see is noted there, I would be very greatful if you gave my map a tryout and see how it does.

This map comes with 3 versions, 1 koth, 1 ctf, 1 arena. I like all 3 versions personally, but KOTH would probably be optimal for big games that end without stalemates.

Thanks, send me a PM if you have any suggestions. I currently have this server on my favorites list and I do pop in every now and then!

I hate to break it to you, but as cool as that map looks, most of our custom server patrons don't like CTF, KOTH or Arena.

Eh?! I knew about the anti-KOTH/Arena crowd, but...
I suppose my own work will just look like another step towards a Glorious CP_Cayenne, then...

I switched the fast respawn plugin to the old simpler one, which should eliminate the respawn bug. Let me know if you experience the looping respawn timer, or if spawn times seem wrong.

As a voice for the opposition, I must say that I get tired of repetitive cart-pushing after a while though. Yoinking a briefcase would be a welcome change.

I don't think it's that we don't like CTF, it's that the custom CTF maps mostly stink.
We're well aware PL seems to be less popular than a/d_ and cp_ but it seems most quality customs are pl_ or pl_r ever since the pl_ mode was released, so you gotta try whats out there.

May not be the best polished map but i came across a payload race of toy fort. It was a blast.

I have some criticism/concerns about Deplane, but I'll see if they're still borne out with a full server vs. the melee/5v5 that I saw yesterday.

Though the first thing would be: Why do so many customs have huge spawn rooms? It just takes longer to run out, and you could build a simple grenade trap with a pit and a dogleg instead of adding miles of corridor.

Can anyone suggest some exceptional CTF maps to try in the rotation?

Also, would anyone miss Frontier if it was taken out of rotation?
