Changing Circus Night

Post by Masakari » Mon Aug 24, 2009 11:28 am

So, I brought up in the main topic that it seems like a good idea to have Circus nights as the place to test out new maps. With two times a month to do it, I think that should keep us well ahead of the game on up and coming customs.

New format would be:

-Nights would occur on TVII instead of TVX (That way maps are uploaded to the same server)
-We would test out about 3-4 new maps each night (To be decided by us, although suggestions would always be helpful)
-And to make it more Circus-y, we can throw in one "fun" map at some point in time to give people a chance to be silly.

A couple of benefits of the new format:

-I don't have to think of crazy themes every two weeks.
-Let's the community pick what maps they want to play the most.
-Since it'll be locked out, we don't have to worry about certain people getting in.

Sounds good. Though it might be better to keep it on 10 and just add the maps that are good to 2. That way we keep it on the event server and can do silly maps.

Fair enough. I was just looking to make it easier on ops, but that is a valid point.

And I guess if we do start building regulars up, we shouldn't be locking them out!
