Map Prerequisites

This list is here to solely tell people which Synergy maps require which games. As new maps get added onto the list, I will update it.

Half-Life 2

  • syn_canal_escape1-3
  • syn_oldcanals
  • syn_takeover
  • z_umizuri_a
  • pyra_world01_v2
  • Storyline maps which start with d1_, d2_, or d3_.


Half-Life 2:Episode One

  • syn_urbanchaos

just want to say I've had some problems with story maps in the past.
Like when you're in the prision level, there's that room with electrified water. Seen people grief there by taking the barrels.
Then escort missions can really screw up the game. If someone completes a level too fast and the npc doesn't get there than you'll go onto the next level without them, and a .scripted event won't let you progress.

I might add that the canal_escape's last level became extraordinarily hard when it refused to give us item_suits.

People left like mad because of that. However, I and a select few persevered until the end, despite the absurd odds against us. It involved a lot of hobbling (without the item_suits, you can't sprint) around zombies, using rockets (the only weapon we had, which we could not replenish easily) on only fast zombies, and sacrificing ourselves to turn cranks while under attack from all sides (actually, only I did that).

[/quote]Not giving suits? Sounds like an .edt file is missing, but all of the stock maps should come with one. Hmmmm....
