Pro Tips :P

Spawn sprinting:

When you spawn, immediately start sprinting. CR1 provides unlimited stamina for the first few seconds of spawn allowing you to get to the battle quicker.

<Stamina = <Damage:

The amount of attack damage is directly related to stamina.

Blocking and Parry:

Are all about timing. Heavy weapons should be blocked/parried with caution. A shield blocks. A weapon parries.

Throwing knives and axes:

Are extremely difficult to master; however, are largely wasted considering when you luck out and plant one in someone's face. You almost always have an opportunity for a ranged attack.

I love me some throwing axes. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing that axe get stuck in someone's face.

I find the throwing weapson useful in that you can use them to wound a player before getting up close. Helps to turn things in your favor.

Try all the classes.

First three loadouts (archer/spear man classes): Light armor

Middle loadouts (footmen/pike men): Medium armor

Last three loadouts (heavy knight): Heavy armor

The lighter the weapon, the faster the attack; however, less damage and stamina.

The heavier the weapon, the slower the attack; however, more damage and stamina.

Each weapon has certain strengths and weaknesses.

Don't underestimate the utility of a shield. This is especially true when the opposing team is archer heavy.

Be mindful of where the ammo boxes are located.

Stick with your teammates.

The fastest troops on the firled BTW are NOT archers... the footmen are fastest, followed by archer followed by knight...just an fyi

This is done to prevent archer kiting

My biggest problem is fighting the heavy knight. It seems the speed does not trade off for the power and range, so even if I can dodge around and hit them 2-3 times eventually they're going to get a hit in and I'm dead. Anyone got some tips for holding them off more?

just try to dodge as much as you can move to his left...and also watch for the over head swing...just deviate to the side and it will miss
