I'm still a big fan of the original series. The new ones are too different and can't get into them. I might give it another try someday. Starbuck is a chick?

Ya starbuck is a girl (Katee Sackhoff). If you have too big of a problem getting into the new series, try looking at it as its own series that just so happens to have a very similar theme to the old show lol

It is such a good series on so many levels. I have been hooked since the Mini.

And yes there are 10 more episodes coming in 2009, the last season is only half over.

That and I just read they are going to do a prequel movie, similar to what they did with Razor, at the completion of the series, directed by Edward James Olmos (Bill Adama) and focusing more on the Cylons in the fleet.

So lots of Battlestar goodness to come.
Well played....clerks......

they must be finished filming...i'm noticing my favorite cylons popping up on lots of other shows

I'm a huge scifi fan.

the series had some interesting points. it was pretty entertaining

It did go off on a few tangents. like that whole new caprica thing was weak. and there were other things that bugged me...

i still want to know where starbuck was all that time they thought she was dead...is she the 5th? if tigh is a cylon, why didnt they figure it out when they were torturing him? or starbuck?

why dont the cylons say "by your command" ???

yes they finished filming the final episode a little while ago. apparently all questions are answered. no loose ends left to annoy us.

also there is a spinoff coming, Caprica. it takes place about 50 years before this series and has to do with the creation of the cylons and the start of the first war i think. it follows 2 familes, the adamas and i dont remember the other but i think the head of that family is the creator of the cylons.
I've watched it from the beginning. Great show, not as good as Star Gate (Either series) or even close to Doctor Who. But still a great series. And a great ending for the first half of this season
It's hard for me which to say I like more. BSG or Doctor Who. Doctor Who is consistently good. BSG is more rewarding with amazing episodes but you have to sit through some really crappy episodes as well.

For anyone not familiar with BSG just watch the 2 part pilot. If you're not itching to watch more then the show isn't for you.
