So, last night, my video game hating girlfriend said she wants a Wii.

Gaming Steve was talking about the wii and non-gamers wanting it in his latest podcast.
Basically its attracting non-gamers cause of the fact that it involves a lot of movement and isn't looked at as a sit and play console.

Good luck finding one though, I've never seen a shop with a wii in stock, my cousin has one and he said he had a camp outside of walmart one night to get it along with a bunch of other people (this was like last summer)

yeah the wii battle is a bad one... working in an electronics department half of my calls everyday deal with the wii

and i said it once and i'll say it again... ps3 and 360 have a target audience of the 16-30 year old male. the nintendo wii is goign after everyone else and i think they are realizing how big of a market that is now

lol :P it helps soooooooo much to be working at a electronics/more so computers store that carries the Wii. aside from launch date, we rarely got any of em... and i think the first like 4 or 5 we got... like 3 or 4 months later all went to employees :D. i got mine over the summer though, 6 months later when we got another 4 or 5 hahaha.

on another note, I think hell will freeze over when my girlfriend stops playing video games hahahaha :P that or starts playing FPS... which i doubt will ever happen.

Buzzy reccomends...

Super Mario Galaxy - general, all around fun
Rayman Raving Rabbids - best in a group setting. off-the-wall comedy and a great play & pass game on either multiplayer or single player.
LoZ: Twilight Princess - See Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario: See LoZ: Twilight Princess
Metroid Prime 3: best FPS on the Wii, though it's more adventure and story driven than "point and kill"

Will add more if I remember more

Prince of Persia: Rival Swords and Legend of Zelda for the Wii are two awesome RPGs if you like that.

I was looking for FPS games. CoD3 and Metroid3 seem to be popular. Thanks for the recommendations! :D

EDIT: Just looked at the website for Rayman Raving Rabbids...

games for you

Resident Evil Umbrella -> get a wii zapper
Star Wars Lego complete saga.. Not sure why but I am addicted to this game right now.
Guitar Hero 3.. Everyone will most likely like it too.

Games everyone will enjoy.

Wii Sports
Carnival -> got this one for the girls for Christmas everyone in the house has been playing it.

Also Wii Fit comes out in the next month or two.. Can't wait for this to add foot controllers.

Nancy and Diana have a Wii, the only things i have seen them play is Zelda and Guitar Hero :?

Personally i recommend Dance Dance Revolution and a bottle of tequila...great spectator sport.
