Thanks for being Boss!
How did you get your gaming name: It is the result of an inside joke from a very long car trip with friends, that happened to fit in with a long time favorite animal around here. Llamas move in herds, and they have a social pecking order. It's important to know who the "boss llama" is so that it is led at the front of the pack when trekking, otherwise chaos ensues. We decided "boss llama" needed to be an adjective meaning "cool" ("wow, that new car is boss llama!") and that we were going to work on slowly spreading it through whatever means available. I had been thinking about a name change at the time, so after a year or so of consideration, the change was made. Consider it phase one of our plot to spread the term.
Favorite games/servers: L4D2 and Feed The Beast have been my multiplayer babies recently, though I also put in time on Terraria (sorry I've been scare lately!). In single player I've been spending my time on The Long Dark, and revisiting old friends like DA:O. As many of you know, I've been obsessing over the fantasy sports leagues this year as well.
Favorite class/weapon: Survivor: AK47, Magnum, Molotov.
When did you first play at the Ville? Fall of 2007
What is something about you that might surprise everyone? I enjoy genealogy quite a bit, and I can trace at least one line of my family back for centuries without interruption, across the Atlantic (on the Hercules from Dover, 1634) and back from there all way to the mid-12th century. This leads to an interest in royalty and inheritance/succession, since that's a cool blend of genealogy and history - one of my other nerdy obsessions.
Favorite Food: The best food is pizza (white sauce, as much cheese as can legally be put on it, and maybe a hint of crushed garlic). This fact is only disputed by particularly delicious preparations of ravioli and of course by my grandmother's mac and cheese. The battle has never been settled, and negotiators say signs of a settlement are nowhere to be found.
Favorite Sports Team: I have been a fan of both the Seattle Mariners and the Seattle Seahawks since I was old enough to know what those sports were. The last couple years have been very strange, since we Seattle fans weren't really used to the idea of a "successful" franchise in a major sport. We all love our Sounders too, though I'm not sure most of us know what they do. The Storm are pretty great as well.
Favorite inheritance crisis: Second Burgundian. If only Phillip of Rouvres had lived to have children, the whole mess would have been averted. Instead he had to go and die young, leaving his counties to various families, and his duchy to be fought over by the kings of France and Navarre. Oh, succession by proximity - you are so strange.
Who is the rightful king of England?: I am! I'm not sure how yet, but give me enough time and I'll figure it out!
Shout-outs: A big hello and thanks to all the awesome folks who hang out here on the Ville forums, participate in whatever silliness we do, and keep the place going even though we don't have a single set game we all play regularly. This place is about community on the forums much more than any one game, and you all are the heart!
Here is what people had to say about him:
