Gridiron Challenge (NFL Playoffs game) - Win points!
Howdy all! For those who may be interested, I set up a Ville group for the "Gridiron Challenge" over on ESPN.
For those who haven't played before, it's a salary capped game for the NFL play-offs. You start with $50M to make your team from the players available in the play-offs, and they earn points each week based on standard fantasy scoring. The goal is to have the most points when the Super Bowl concludes. You can change your roster around after the first two rounds, but your set-up for the divisional rounds carries through the super bowl! Players gain and lose value based on demand and performance, which affects how much money you'll have to play with, so it's a trade off between grabbing people you think will help you immediately, and getting longer-term stars while they're cheap. There's no draft, and multiple teams can have the same players - it's all about putting together the team YOU think will be the best.
It's free to enter, and I'll put up points as a prize for the top finishers (depending on number of entries):

Ya gotta join before the play-offs start this week-end, so hop to it my friends!

Since we're getting a reasonable number of people (which is good!) let's declare the points:
I'll make the pot 1,000 points for every person that joins, divided the traditional 50/30/20 between 1st, second, and third. Comparable to the bowl pick'em and other similar games we do. Join up, Villuns, let's make that pot big! It costs you nothing, and you might just win a bunch!

Quick clarification: there is no reason to take any players that are BYE week during the first week, as their salaries will remain unchanged in the Divisional round and you can pick them up then. I hadn't realized their pay remained unchanged myself, so had to make some line-up swaps.
Also, last day to join and be in the whole game! Come on down, ya'll.

Oh, OK. I think I swapped out the ones with byes. About half my team had a bye.

If Mr. Boss Llama wasn't putting up the prize pot, I'd begin to think he is running a hustle.

Hahaha, yeah. Check out Gator running away with all our points over in the College Bowl pick-em! In all seriousness though, I'm going to try to play pretty much every fantasy game ESPN offers over the course of the year. I shall get trounced at some, and do reasonably at others, if for no other reason than the law of averages. Football is where I'm likely to do best, simply because I pay more attention to it than other sports. If you want lols, watch my fail when I get to the "Best Ball Majors" tourney for fantasy golf, in April, or simply watch me crash and burn in anything related to college sports.
Also, as an FYI (and so folks can think ahead) I plan to open up a Ville Fantasy Baseball league this spring for us. All the Uber games, I must play them!

This coming week's game is the final opportunity to change your rosters! The roster you set for conference championship weekend lasts all the way to the Super Bowl - no more changes! You have to balance predicting which players will score the most points this week, with picking people who will move on to the Super Bowl and get you points then as well!

Pretty much sums up my effort in this game... Put all my chips with the underdogs to try and make an end run... Fail-kallous emerged.
