It seems we have players who are more intrested in stats then winning.I know I may be not the best player but my utmost thought is to win.I don't mind dying or being bait, but I always thought the object was to win the game.So why do players bypass the objective to maybe give them one or two more kills?

Sometimes I skip objectives because I like to do the killing. If there are people with me and we are near an objective I usually head out a bit further to try to secure the area and cut off any incoming enemies.
The other thing I've learned in my years of messing around in this community is that people are out to get me! My chances of survival rise exponentially if I keep moving!

What gets me is when an MG hides over looking an opponents flag i suppose it wouldn't be that bad if the flag was right by the enemies spawn but when i see it the flag is right by our spawn i mean whats the point of staying there if your not going to cap the flag? as now its in the enemies hands they wont go there anymore

i allways go to win, i may pass by 1 objective or even 2 depending on map, then either hope that someone caps the flags i passed leaving me to cap the remaining or at least take 1 or 2 plyers out of their assult to either look for me or get killed by me.
ie kalt i may push the sewers bypassing the bridge heading for their 1st or 2nd or even their house to try and take out any snipers or mg's. i look at it as special services working deep behind enemy lines trying to take the sting out of the enemy tail.

As anyone who's played with me knows, I always go for the flag and team win. My k/d ratio usually always sucks.

capping flags are the only reason I am in the top 50 of the DoD:S stats, because I can't hit the broad side of the map

most of the time it is better for a couple of ppl to go ahead and secure an area then cap the flag before that area...u get what i mean...
but yeah thats what i do usually. but thats cause i hate staying back and lettin kodo get the kill

Yes, I know a couple people around here who are pretty terrible about trying to meet the objectives of the map to get in positions to up their score...

I always go for the flag. Ill be the first guy to sacrifice my score to all cap. Some how I end up 1:1 all the time. My killing has high peaks and low valleys. Ill go 6 deaths with out one kill, then I get 6 kills in one death...
But Im always trying to cap, even though I get lost alot on TV1's never ending supply of new maps.
Cheers to all the TPF guys like me

I cant stand to not kill I grab flags im always sprinting I cant help it anymore its risky yes but it gets lots of kills and caps I almost always have a positive score but I also snipe but theres one thing I dont like is a stat hog camp all the time never move stay in spawn I mean what are you supposed to do because the only way to kill the person is if you shoot into spawn and then everyone on you because your braking the rules if people are going to do that than the rules would need to change because you could never win

i always head for the flag and hope someone is with me in case i die which i do that quite often, but there are times that i make it to the opponents side undetected and want to hide and give someone a chance to come up and cap for the win

Thanks
I just wanted to get some insight a to why people bypass an objective to try and win and maybe not because they failed to secure a flag.
