I feel I need to post this here: http://gaben.tv/

Also I'm probably going to pick up DMC when it goes on sale now that I have a 360 controller.

Correcting my earlier post about the TF2 Summer Sale rewards:

The Summer Starter Kit contains a Backpack Expander, either a Name Tag or Description Tag, and one random weapon.
The Summer Adventure Pack is exactly the same, save the addition of a random cosmetic, which has an extra line of text in its tooltip explaining that you earned it from the sale event.
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

Am I the only one who likes to sell these cards for $0.50 and build up a collection toward a "free" Steam game?

I have been compelled by innate Villunocity to return (as I do from time to time) and say this:

JOIN TEAM PURPLE!

You know it's the right thing to do (I was automatically set to Purple for Valve sensed it). Whilst crafting Summer Sale cards, if you get a teamswitch token, you know what to do. We (Team Purp) carried Day One. Join the Column!

Become what you already have commited to (in Steam Sale Micro-Transaction form): a PURPETRATOR!

Nope. I'm doing that too. The audition reel is selling for a nice sum as well.

I does appear like Team Purple got all the people willing to spend money. Looks like they're going to win a second day in a row.

To be completely honest, Steam sales have rarely ever enticed me into buying any game. I'm very picky about my games, and most games on Steam don't really interest me. I'd only gotten four games in the past 466 days, and only one of them was for PC. The other three I got for my PS3 because 1) one of them is an exclusive; 2) my PC nowhere near met the minimum requirements of the other two; and 3) I'd rather play one of those two games on my PS3.

There comes a point when you have more games than you have time to beat them, and I'm at that point.

I've got at least 5 games I still need to beat from the last few steam sales.

edit: got bioshock infinite anyway.

Hrm... I don't know if I really like this 'Early Access' sale stuff. Wasteland 2 looks like a game I'd really enjoy-- but I want to play the finished product. I don't know, but it feels really weird to buy into what is basically an alpha/beta test while they figure out the kinks.

Oh... and... WOO Go, RED TEAM! Stole it from purple in the middle of the night. Free games please, Valve... wait... only 30 people? Guh...

1. I really really really hate early access items going on sale.

2. As a $100 early kickstarter of Wasteland 2, it's a really cool game. However, if bug finding isn't your goal, wait till it's finished. It's coming from a pretty good dev team so you can at least be sure it will be finished and will be polished. It's already turning out pretty clean.

Also, looking at their twitter feed. It sort of sounds like they have no choice whether they go on sale or not. Probably an opt in setting.
