Christmas Tradition Vote

Post by zookie » Sun Dec 22, 2013 10:13 pm

Mateo and I are at odds on the correct way to celebrate Christmas this year, so we are going to let you guys decide. You better make the right decision or else..if there was an emoticon that shook its fist menacingly I would have used it :P

My family tradition is Nice dinner on Eve, Presents at Midnight, Nice Breakfast on Day.

I also vote for what Mateo is not suggesting.

Nice dinners on all of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day, each at different people's house.

As a kid, my family always did the 'big' dinner AND presents on Christmas Eve. My wife's did everything Christmas day. We've compromised and do the dinner Christmas Eve and presents Christmas morning.

When I was growing up, we did both on both days.

XMas eve we had a fancy dinner and opened a couple presents. XMas day we opened presents and then had a fancy dinner.

This was the result of my mom and dad's families having different traditional holiday dinners. In order to retain both of them, we just used both days.
