Gaming laptop because it's what's convenient for me
17" LED backlit 1080P display
Intel Core i7 3630QM 2.3 GHz with turbo boost to 3.3 GHz
Nvidia GTX 660M with 2GB GDDR5
8GB DDR3
1TB 5400 RPM HDD
Windows 8
Sometimes I think I need more time to play games now because I have this

Re: Your Gaming Set-up.
I was just recently finally able to put the money down on a decent desktop.
Biostar TZ77XE3 Motherboard
i3-3220 Dual-Core @ 3.3Ghz
8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM (2x4GB)
Nvidia GTX650Ti Boost 2GB SuperClocked GDDR5
1TB Seagate HDD
My board has 4 RAM slots and is SLI ready, so once I get some more money I'll drop 8GB more of RAM in and then another 650Ti

Friends made are never forgotten. Even if we grow apart or move on from this life, the fun times we spent together was all worth it.

What is the need for such powerful graphics? Are you using it as a CAD system?Spectral Fire wrote: My board has 4 RAM slots and is SLI ready, so once I get some more money I'll drop 8GB more of RAM in and then another 650Ti

The answer is why not? Why do people build street cars that can do 200mph? The answer is almost always because I could.Checkm8 wrote: What is the need for such powerful graphics? Are you using it as a CAD system?
and besides I do some video editing on the side, but mostly I just wanted to have an easy upgrade path for the future when it stops being powerful enough to max the settings on most games.

Did I mention that I rebuilt a machine I found on the curb for under $400 and it's awesome? It's actually a decent old case. Came with dead monitor too.

I'm hoping to sell this machine on Craigslist without getting murdered. I took a few pictures of it for the ad.Crusty Juggler wrote:Did I mention that I rebuilt a machine I found on the curb for under $400 and it's awesome? It's actually a decent old case. Came with dead monitor too.
