UPDATE
UPDATE
UPDATE

Stats guy here with an update. The first time I collected data there were 1036 people in the contest. I assumed that would be constant. I assumed wrong. The number of people in the contest kept growing! (New entries are now closed.) So the final number of people in the contest is 1225.

This helps Dan a good bit as far as precentile goes. Adjusted for the 1225 people in the contest, Dan's current percentile is 5.224.

Now, I'm not sure how or what they're going to count as the "top 5%". Is that everything 5.000% and up...or is that everything above 6.000...or something else?

Regardless we are REAL REAL close. Keep up the great work!

Keep up the voting! We'll get him in that top 5% yet :-D (seriously, we're clearly outpacing the folks ahead, and will catch them if we keep going).

9033

My plan is to run the numbers every day from now until it's over.

Although he's gotten 400 more votes since two days ago, Dan's percentile today is unchanged at 5.224

Latest stats: Dan steady at 5.224%

Latest Spreadsheet: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/917 ... 0list.xlsx

My best guess: Dan may already be in the top 5% depending upon how they calcuate it. It would be better if he was at 4.9xx percent just to be sure. A jump of 500 votes (as of right now) would put him there. Of course the 2 people right above him might slow down their vote getting and that would help. I think if we can break 10K we'll probably be in! A little over 3 days left.
