interest gauge: PAX Prime meetup in Seattle
Seeing some of this PAX East villun meetup stuff is making me jelly, especially after talking with biscuit I thought what the hay? Why not Seattle?
Just like it says, just getting a gauge of interest - without details being announced, indicate if think you might be interested in meeting up with villuns for Pax Prime in Seattle.
Keep in mind this has the potential to be a cheap trip with lots of villuns living in Seattle (somewhere between 6-10?) potentially able to provide housing - obviously we'd have to line up hosts and all that jazz. Cross off hotel and car rental costs from a trip and things become a lot more doable.
Again, very early stages (I'm not even moving back to Seattle until probs summer), but just wondering if enough people are interested enough to start exploring the possibilities.

I'd definitely be interested. It's only 15-30 mins from my house, so I need no lodging.
Where were you guys last year when I was there and tried to get people to come?

If they do it in August/September I probably wont be able to go, I have multiple weddings to attend.

Well it's multiple days, if you're going to multi-day weddings...stop that.ShiftyDevil wrote:If they do it in August/September I probably wont be able to go, I have multiple weddings to attend.

I could be down.
Re: interest gauge: PAX Prime meetup in Seattle
Somewhat unlikely, but if the round-trip airfare (nonstop) got under $450 I might consider it.

Mildly interested... I'm not sure how do-able that would be though... I like East and if Prime is a smaller venue I might be in trouble with crowds... Oh, also timing is odd. And expenses....

I live on the other end of the country. Driving to Boston from where I live isn't a problem, but getting to Seattle when you don't have a job is a whole 'nother matter entirely. Will T. wrote:Where were you guys last year when I was there and tried to get people to come?
This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Don't take it personally - not sure exactly what you tried but these things take a fairly large planning effort & people will feel more comfortable making the jump if it's sorta 'official.'Will T. wrote: Where were you guys last year when I was there and tried to get people to come?
I'm looking at:
Get a roster of potential interest > await details/think of possible logistics > details announced - determine viability > propose a plan > get feedback & commitments > wheewww party.

I'll be at PAX prime regardless of who's going. Just remember to buy your tickets the minute they go on sale because they go fast. No time to get money together after they're on sale or anything, they were gone in less than a day last year.
