Kansas City...anyone know anything?
Anybody live in or have experience with Kansas City? I'll be traveling there next Mon for 4 days. I'll be working during normal business hours but will be looking to eat and drink at night. It's possible I might also relocate there for 6 months...but for now just a visit. Shame the Royals are out of town, never been to another MLB ballpark other than Safeco.

I never got a chance to cross over missouri when i was in st louis but from my understanding you should prepare yourself for a bunch of delicious BBQ

Make sure you get some Arthur Bryan's BBQ. It's kinda by the capitol, if my memory serves me right. Frost can probably chime in better.
They have a relatively decent amusment park/water park if you are into that as well (worlds of fun/oceans of fun).

Loved Worlds of Fun!!
Perhaps not the advice you were looking for, but Truman's Library in nearby Independence would be a great visit. There are many fantastic BBQ places that someone in the area can probably tell you more about (KC BBQ is different from other places, sweet and not dry as I recall). Being from Seattle, you might like to catch a game of the KC Wiz (major league soccer) and if you relocate there for a bit you have to take in a Chefs game at Arrowhead
Kaufman Stadium where the Royals play, though recently remodeled, can't compare to Safeco. It does have one of the cooler features in the outfield waterfall and is nice for watching a game though.

I've only been to KC once, visiting a friend that lived in Overland Park a long time ago. I enjoyed it but darned if I can remember anywhere we ate.

I wish I could help, but when I went to Kansas City for 3 days, I didn't do much beyond spending my time at the campus of one of the colleges.
