Nintendo is where it's at, some of the best stuff comes from Metroid, Zelda, or Mario(at least the more story-oriented ones).

Re: Random Video Game Music
I like tons of different kinds of video game music. From 8-bit to fully orchestrated, I enjoy it all.
I also really like remixed or covers of popular video game music and completely original stuff that is video game inspired.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Re: Random Video Game Music
if there's one thing I love, it's video game background music. If I had the resources, i'd create a youtube channel of nothing but, but since I don't, I'll let others do it. I often find myself just spending hours listening to sound test mode in some games, Super Smash Melee and Brawl are huge offenders in my case. Spoilered everything since I may have overloaded my flash player.
More tracks.
2021 EDIT: Fixed links for now.
Ace Combat 4: Emancipation
Advance Wars Days of Ruin: We Will Prevail (Will's theme)
Advance Wars Dual Strike: Hawke's Theme
Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Final Destination
Star Fox Assault: Space Battleground
Star Fox 64: Star Wolf's Theme (3DS version)
Star Fox 2: Eladard (About time this game officially came out...)
E.V.O. The Search for Eden: Ocean of Origin
Metroid Fusion: Crisis Mission
Cave Story (Remastered OST): Scorching Back
Tetris Attack/Panel De Pon: Bowser's/Thanatos' theme
Tetris Attack/Panel De Pon: Where Evil Sleeps (Cordelia's theme, it plays in TA but only as Bowser's introduction)
Earthbound: Fourside
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD: Rowdy Rumble
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: Neverland Battle theme
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days: Critical Drive
Final Fantasy XI (Treasures of Aht Urghan): Ragnarok
Final Fantasy XI (Wings of the Godess): On This Blade
Castlevania Symphony of the Night: Clock Tower
Castlevania Portrait of Ruin: Iron Blue Intention
Castlevania Rondo of Blood: Bloodlines
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow: Into the Dark Night
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow: Cursed Clock Tower
Super Castlevania 4: Simon's Theme
I think i'm getting carried away, i'm gonna stop before I lose sleep over this thread. Hell, after writing this line, I went out and added two more to the post.
More tracks.

Re: Random Video Game Music
If you're refering to Star Fox 2, yes, the game was never released. However, a very late beta rom was leaked to the internet years ago, and through a fan patch it was unofficially completed off that rom. I have the rom and patch and I must say the game is a lot of fun, it's a shame it wasn't finished.THE Flying chihuahua wrote:Wow, they managed to rip the soundtrack from a game that was never released.

Re: Random Video Game Music
Not exactly, Earthbound Zero never got a US release, similar to Mother 3. The game was released in Japan but was not exported; many Earthbound fans didn't know they were playing a sequel for some time.THE Flying chihuahua wrote:Ahhh so it's like Earthbound Zero.Zork Nemesis wrote:If you're refering to Star Fox 2, yes, the game was never released.
