I've been listening to the NiGHTS Into Dreams soundtrack a lot lately. It's got some really good "feel-good" music in there. Here are a couple of my favorites:

One month necrobump!

One thing that has fascinated me for a long time are those occasional games that managed to push the NES and the Game Boy to their limits audio-wise. With some clever manipulation, sounds that are otherwise theoretically impossible for them become possible. My two favorite examples:

NES - Journey to Silius

This has probably already been posted in here, but I'm doing it again anyway because it illustrates my point.
This game utilizes the NES's little-used lo-fi sample player to create its entire bassline, allowing for a total of four tone channels where ordinarily only three are present. Other points of interest are the use of one of the square channels as a synthy set of tom-toms and the much more drum-like than normal noise track.

Game Boy - Toki Tori

That's right, Toki Tori didn't originate on Steam or WiiWare! (Technically he didn't even originate in this game, but this is the first game in which he was called Toki Tori.) This one may have been on the Game Boy Color instead of the classic Game Boy, but the GBC used the GB's same audio hardware, so this would have just as easily been possible without the other improvements offered by the GBC.

Have to post this one, I recently got the full version of this game, so imagine my surprise when this absolutely amazing boss theme starts playing. Who would've thought the 3DS's sound capabilities were this awesome?

I've gotten to listening to game music again for whatever reason. A few tracks I've recalled or heard recently that really stand out or at least invoke memories. These might have been slightly influenced by the games I've been playing recently as my Steam screenshots might suggest.

Super Mario Galaxy: Into the Galaxy
VIEW CONTENT:
Zelda Majora's Mask: Last Day (plays everywhere when less than six hours remain)
VIEW CONTENT:
Zelda Link Between Worlds: Dungeon (Hyrule; feel the nostalgia trip of the Eastern Palace! I'm disappointed that I haven't heard a mix of the Dark World palace themes yet)
VIEW CONTENT:
Goldeneye 007: Byelomorye Dam
VIEW CONTENT:
Super Monkey Ball: Arctic (Expert 31-39)
VIEW CONTENT:
Etrian Odyssey IV: The Burning Crimson Sword Dances (I can't believe how good the soundtrack for this game is)
VIEW CONTENT:

Super Mario 3D World is the game where I finally started to really like the rhythm-based levels in recent Mario games. The music for the first of the two rhythm levels I've encountered so far (there might be more, as I believe there's still at least one more hidden world I have yet to reach) is a good listen, especially with the synchronized SFX from the level's color-changing blocks intact.

What time is it?

No seriously, what time is it? My watch is broken. Have some music while I go fix that.

Pokemon X/Y: Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde
VIEW CONTENT:
Spyro the Dragon: Wizard Peak (those who watched Nickelodeon of old may hear a familiar theme in there and it's not a coincidence)
VIEW CONTENT:
Octodad Dadliest Catch: Nobody Suspects a Thing
VIEW CONTENT:
Zelda Majora's Mask: Stone Tower Temple
VIEW CONTENT:
Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures: Laughin' Jokin' Numbnuts
VIEW CONTENT:
Kid Icarus Uprising: Dark Pit's Flight Theme
VIEW CONTENT:
Wario Land 4: Hurry Up! (I could've sworn I'd already posted this one)
VIEW CONTENT:
Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games: Sky Station Galaxy (I prefer this over the original)

For the record, MOTHER 4 isn't actually a Nintendo-produced game. It is a fan game made in the style of the previous MOTHER games.
